These terms apply to your use of Character Namer (characternamer.com), operated by Brytin Ltd (company number 14806911, registered office 5 Cleveland Place West, Bath, BA1 5DG). By using the site you accept them.
Generated names
Names and other generated text (role prompts, nicknames) are suggestions created automatically in your browser. You may use them for anything, including commercial work such as books, games and products, without paying or crediting us. We claim no rights in them.
We can't promise that a name is unique, that nobody else uses it, or that it doesn't by chance match a real person, a character or a trademark. We filter out well-known characters, brands and offensive words, but no filter is complete. Check that a name isn't someone's trademark before you use it for a product, business or brand, and use your judgement before you publish one.
Ads and links to other websites
Ads on this site are served by Google and its partners. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, advertisers' products or other websites linked from this site, and showing an ad or link isn't an endorsement.
Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales or other law that applies to you.
- Subject to that, the site is free and provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Brytin Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the site, its tools or results, or third-party ads and websites; and our total liability to you for anything arising from your use of the site is limited to £100.
- If you're in the United States: to the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you use the site as a consumer and live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live and may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
